The Pulse is a development in the Amsterdam Zuidas that unites a state-of-the-art office tower, a high-quality residential building and public facilities including cafés and restaurants, a cinema and a supermarket. Construction started with the foundation and the basement. To reduce construction time, the office tower (91,8m), the residential tower (81m) and the connecting middle section (34,2m) were built simultaneously.
Construction speed and efficiency was achieved through the use of climbing formwork for the office tower and Skydeck formwork for both the office and residential towers. In the construction of the office tower, we installed Cobiax void formers in the floor slabs to reduce the weight of the structure.
